A light, creamy no bake Strawberry Heaven on Earth Cake made with angel food cake, vanilla pudding, whipped topping, and strawberry pie filling. Perfect for make ahead desserts, potlucks, and holidays.

Ingredients

  • 10 ounces angel food cake, store bought or prepared from a boxed mix, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 21 ounces strawberry pie filling, divided
  • 3.4 ounces vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 1⅔ cups cold whole milk
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 ounces whipped topping, thawed


Instructions

  1. Lightly spray a 9×9 inch glass baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
  2. Layer half of the angel food cake cubes evenly in the bottom of the dish.
  3. Spread about two thirds of the strawberry pie filling evenly over the cake layer.
  4. Add the remaining angel food cake cubes in an even layer.
  5. In a medium bowl, whisk together the cold milk and sour cream until completely smooth.
  6. Whisk in the instant pudding mix until smooth and just beginning to thicken.
  7. Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the top layer of cake.
  8. Spread the whipped topping evenly over the pudding layer.
  9. Spoon the remaining strawberry pie filling over the whipped topping and gently swirl with a butter knife.
  10. Cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight before serving.
