Description
Crispy smashed potatoes made in the air fryer with olive oil and your favorite seasonings. Ready in 30 minutes for a perfect side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) baby potatoes (Yukon gold or red potatoes work great)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Optional: Fresh parsley or grated Parmesan for garnish
Instructions

Boil the Potatoes
Wash and boil baby potatoes in salted water until fork-tender (12–15 minutes). Drain and let cool slightly. -
Smash the Potatoes
Place potatoes on a cutting board. Smash each potato to about 1/2 inch thick with a masher or fork. -
Season the Potatoes
Toss smashed potatoes in a bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Coat evenly. -
Air Fry
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Arrange potatoes in a single layer in the basket. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy and golden. -
Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle with parsley or Parmesan. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- For an extra crunch, air fry for an additional 2 minutes.
- Add a sprinkle of chili flakes for a spicy twist!
