1 cup shredded sweetened coconut
1 stick (½ cup) salted butter
2 cups granulated sugar
½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Line two baking sheets with wax or parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine oats and shredded coconut. Set aside.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and salt. Bring to a rolling boil and let boil for 2 full minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
Pour the hot mixture over the oat-coconut blend. Stir until fully coated.
