Description

These Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. A quick toss in olive oil and seasonings, then air-fried to perfection in just 12 minutes, it’s the easiest way to turn these veggies into a crave-worthy side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 1 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra crispiness)
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze (optional, for a sweet and tangy finish)

Instructions

  1. Start by rinsing your Brussels sprouts under cold water. Trim off the tough ends, then slice each sprout in half. If they’re particularly large, quarter them for even cooking. Pat them dry with a paper towel—this helps them crisp up better in the air fryer.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir well to make sure each piece is evenly coated. If you’re using Parmesan, sprinkle it in now for an extra crispy, cheesy texture.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes. Preheating helps the Brussels sprouts cook evenly and get that perfect golden crisp.
  4. Place the Brussels sprouts in the air fryer basket in a single layer—avoid overcrowding for the crispiest results. Air fry for 12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through at the 6-minute mark to ensure even cooking. If you like extra crispy edges, air fry for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Once the Brussels sprouts are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving bowl. If desired, drizzle with balsamic glaze for a sweet and tangy touch or sprinkle extra Parmesan for more flavor. Serve immediately and enjoy this irresistible side dish!

Notes

  • Dry them well! Too much moisture prevents crispiness.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer. Cook in batches if needed.
  • For extra crunch, add a little cornstarch before air frying.
  • Like them extra crispy? Add 2-3 more minutes at the end.
  • Pair them with dipping sauces like ranch, garlic aioli, or honey mustard.
