This Bariatric Seed Trick is a healthy, fiber-rich blend of pumpkin seeds, chia, flax, lemon zest, cinnamon, and sea salt. Stirred into warm water, it supports digestion, eases bloating, and keeps you fuller longer. A soothing, daily ritual to start your day right.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¼ cup chia seeds
  • ¼ cup ground flaxseed
  • ½ cup raw pumpkin seeds (pepitas)
  • 2 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp Ceylon cinnamon (true cinnamon)
  • 1 pinch sea salt

Instructions

  1. Toast pumpkin seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat for 4–5 minutes until they start to pop.
  2. Let cool for 2 minutes, then mix with chia, flax, lemon zest, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Grind all ingredients into a fine powder using a spice grinder or food processor.
  4. Store in an airtight jar for up to 3 weeks.
  5. To use: Stir 1 tablespoon into 1 cup warm water with a squeeze of lemon. Let sit 3 minutes for chia to gel, then sip or chew slowly.

Notes

  • Best enjoyed first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
  • For added benefits, pair with a light protein like an egg or half an avocado.
  • Store any extra mix in the fridge to extend freshness, especially if using fresh zest.
  • Always consult your doctor before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, or on medication
