Scale
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (raw, unfiltered with "the mother")
- Juice of 1/2 lemon (about 1 tablespoon)
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger (or more to taste)
- 1 teaspoon raw honey (optional, adjust to taste)
- 1 cup warm water (not boiling)
Instructions
- Combine apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, ginger, and honey in a mug. Stir well until the honey is fully dissolved.
- Add warm water and mix again to combine.
- Sip slowly, ideally on an empty stomach in the morning.
Notes
- Use lukewarm water, not boiling, to protect the enzymes in raw honey and vitamin C in lemon juice.
- If you’re new to ACV, start with 1 teaspoon and gradually increase to 1 tablespoon over a few days.
- Freshly grated ginger has more flavor and benefits than powdered, but either can work.
- Skip or swap the honey if you’re reducing sugar—monk fruit or stevia work well.
- Stir well before each sip, as the ingredients can settle at the bottom.
