Description
Crispy, flavorful, and ready in just 20 minutes, air fryer frozen broccoli is the ultimate healthy side dish. Perfectly seasoned with minimal effort, it’s a game-changer for busy days!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bag (about 1 pound) frozen broccoli florets
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and let it preheat while you prep the broccoli.
- Season the Broccoli: Place the frozen broccoli florets in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Toss well to coat each floret evenly.
- Cook the Broccoli: Spread the broccoli in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking. Air fry for 10 minutes.
- Flip and Continue Cooking: At the 10-minute mark, use a spatula to flip the florets. Cook for an additional 5–10 minutes, depending on how crispy you like your broccoli. Total cook time should be 15–20 minutes.
- Serve: Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately. For extra flavor, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the broccoli or sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
Notes
- Customize the Flavor: Add smoked paprika, onion powder, or Italian seasoning for different flavors.
- Crispier Results: If you like extra crispy broccoli, cook for an additional 2–3 minutes.
- Batch Cooking: If your air fryer basket is small, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.
- Serving Suggestion: Pair with grilled chicken, roasted salmon, or your favorite pasta dish.
- Reheating Tip: Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 2–3 minutes to bring back crispiness.
